#YOUSAIDWEDID
Good afternoon,
Yesterday evening, Saturday 1st March 2025 officers from the local neighbourhood policing team conducted a static speed check point on Preston Road at GRIMSARGH. This area, at this specific time and day was highlighted by residents as a speeding concern area. During the 45 minutes between 5.30pm and 6.15pm 270 vehicles passed through the check point heading North. I am pleased to report that ALL drivers at this time were adhering to the speed limit imposed.
We know that traffic safety is a priority for all of us and we want to hear from you about any speeding concerns you may have in our community. Whether it's a specific location or a general issue, your feedback is essential in helping us address these concerns effectively. ![]()
If you've noticed speeding or unsafe driving behaviours, please report them so we can work together to improve road safety. You can submit your concerns directly through the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership website via this link: Lancashire Road Safety Partnership – Making Lancashire's Roads Safer At this link you will be able to: 1. Report individuals or specific vehicles 2. Request traffic calming measures 3. Send in dash cam footage 4. Report regular excess speed 5. Check existing concerns
The tasking we receive regarding the location of the checkpoint comes directly through the information you supply to the LRSP. The LRSP is made up of individual organisations who work together to support effective coordination, and delivery of safer roads activity across Lancashire to reduce road casualties.
PLEASE report your concerns.
Take care and drive safely Preston Neighbourhood Policing Team. | ||
